Wedding Photography as Part of Your Wedding Experience

The new priority for couples planning their wedding is the memorable experiences they are creating for their guests. What new couples are leaning into is THE FEELINGS your wedding ignites. We all want you and your loved ones to have space to feel, express, laugh. So plan breathing space in your timeline for the experiences to flow effortlessly without rush.

I feel like I’ve been preaching this from the beginning of my career six years ago. First from a slightly selfish perspective, so that I would have the luxury of time with a calm and secure couple, who is emotionally available during the photo session.

But soon I noticed how draining rushed timelines are for the couple, and can sometimes simply ruin their ability to be present for their day.

It’s not about having more time for hitting all the trendy photo locations in your city. Or to cover all the possible photo opportunities your venue has to offer. The most emotion evoking photos are created by centering you two and your connection. Only time and a mind fully at peace allows for images that make you remember how much love you felt at that moment.

I’m here for the new wedding season where the experience for you and yours is the focus!

The images that fit my thoughts ever so perfectly are the wedding portraits of soulful Maina and AJ who brought with them a peaceful confidence. They pushed aside all the rush and stresses of the day, or perhaps they didn’t let them get to themselves at all. At least that’s the message their relaxed, grounded selves emanated.

They allowed space for feeling their connection. Remembering their love for each other. When you are genuinely happy, grounded and present, the camera stops mattering. Expressions aren’t manufactured. Shoulders naturally relax, and your beauty is allowed the center stage. Your connection dances fluidly in every frame.

This is Maina ans AJ not forgetting to breathe soul into the photoshoot

My advice: allow time, hire a planner who values timeline that focuses on your experience. Hire professionals who understand how to personalize their service for you.

As photographers, we have to understand who you are if we want to create a session and photos that feel like you.

After receiving my questionnaire back from you, I brainstorm a perfect photographic experience with you. And form a posing plan around your personalities. I will learn more about you as we go, and I will adjust the way I work depending on your energy. If you’re openly showing love and readiness to be vulnerable in front of my camera, let’s be calm and let that happen. If you’re more reserved, let’s start with the unbothered cool kid poses. If you’re playful and giggly, let’s start with movement and laughter….

If this sounds like how you want to spend your photoshoots and wedding day at large, go to my contact page and let’s talk about working together!
