Have an attitude, be authentically you

There's nothing worse than planning your wedding to please or impress others and forgetting to imprint your personality on it. And I think we already know this when planning the decor or choosing your venue. Some of this happens instinctually, when you find something that just clicks, you are guided by a gut feeling.

This happens when you look at photographers portfolios too, you’re moved by something you want to see yourself in.

But the truth is your photographer has yet to ever photograph you. What’s on her portfolio already, isn’t YOU.

To photograph my couples authentically. I dive deep into who they are with my questionnaire, and chat about their dream images, learn about their comfort level and tastes. And help them free time and space for that in the wedding timeline so that creative execution becomes possible.

But I still need help from you. On the day of, arrive as your TRUE SELF. What ever it is! Show up with a strong attitude or bring with you the soft romantic connection you have for each other. Or maybe it is the laughs you share with each other you want preserved.

Kim and Dario showed up to our shoot unapologetically as themselves. Kim’s tattoos give the romantic corset dress a modern touch and she carried that theme with poses rooted in her strong personality. And Dario showed up effortlessly cool for every photo.

My role is to be your guide in finding your comfort level, encourage you to have fun with it, direct you without coming in the way when you’re having a moment. And of course see the light and how it flatters you the best.

Don’t forget to love and appreciate your gorgeous bodies you were given and let your legacy be eternalized for future generations.

Ultimately I photograph for three reasons: to allow my clients to feel like the kings and queens they are, give myself a creative outlet and so that your grandchildren can find your photos and realize they have the coolest grandparents ever!

Have the signature drinks and flower arrangements impress your guests. But for your photoshoot, center the two of you and nothing else!
